At the same time I signed up to the Vegan Tuck Box I also signed up to The Vegan Kind which is another UK subscription box that have a lifestyle and beauty box (although the beauty box is every 3 months) they too donate 10p to a selected charity each month. The lifestyle box is £13.15 a month (which includes postage). I am a huge fan of subscription boxes and I especially love that every month you get a non food item – last month I got a candle! Another great feature to the box is that every month you get a new recipe card and after six months you get a recipe binder.
The August box was such an amazing box! I was so happy with what I got – I did however give the Coconut Cashews to James as I knew he would like them. Now where do I start with this box – all the remaining items were incredible and I have to say that #TVK34 was my favourite box of theirs….so far.
I had seen the Follow Your Heart eggs at the Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival however I was like “I am not paying £7 for four eggs” don’t let the packaging fool you, yes it looks like an egg carton however the product is in a powder form and you get between 10-12 “eggs” out of them (I will be doing a review on this product).
The crunchy coco snack are meant to be the vegan equivalent of maltesers – I have to say they are similar although the vegan ones are a darker chocolate. I would buy these again if I ever come across them as they were a nice snack. The Hippeas were delicious – so much so I even emailed the company to share how much I liked them! They are like nothing I personally have ever eaten before (I am a crisp addict – If I was ever stuck on a Dessert Island I would bring crisps) They are made from chickpeas and have just the right amount of flavour!
I am yet to try the deodorant as I am currently using another vegan friendly one – however I will be bringing this one with me when I go to Paris and Disneyland in a couple of weeks. I am interested to see how it holds up in the sun and the theme park experiences (this is either the best move I’ve ever made or the worst!)
Now onto the best product I have ever tasted (no seriously, the best!) I’m not going to lie when I first opened the box I put these to side as I am not a fan of pineapple (it makes my mouth swell). My four year old niece saw these and wanted to eat the kittens (they are shaped like cats) – so I opened the packet and my goodness they smelt so good that I instantly had to try one, if my niece was I wasn’t going to miss out. I just wanted to say Candy Kittens you have made an incredibly tasty product that tastes even better then non vegan equivalents. I am keeping an eye out and will 100% be stocking up. My niece also keeps asking if we have more (we may have eaten the packet although it was between four of us). On the plus side they didn’t make my mouth swell or itch (always a bonus). If you see these when you are out shopping – pick them up, honestly pick them up and you can thank me later =)
I would rate this months box 5/5 – I was very impressed with the box and can not wait to see what comes next month. If you want to sign up to The Vegan Kind you still have time the cut off is the start of the month….. you won’t regret it – I promise! Have you tried any of these products?
