Three months ago I signed up to Vegan Tuck Box, which is a subscription box here in the UK (they do deliver abroad at a fee). I know some people don’t like subscription boxes as you can’t pick what you get, however for me that’s all part of the fun – I have found products that I absolutely love and I wouldn’t have been able to try had it not been for this box. I get the Variety box which is £9.50 a month (excluding p+p) and receive between 5-8 items. Plus 10p of every box is donated to a different charity each month.
Last month we were treated to a Lenny and Larry cookie (which was incredible) I was slightly worried that they wouldn’t be able to match that box. However for me they did. I did give the Teacake Toasties to my boyfriend as they were more up his street but other than that I loved everything.
I have to admit that when I first saw the space bar I was really worried as I had seen them previously in my local health store and walked straight past as they slightly freaked me out. For me, it reminded me of a Peperami (anyone remember those?!) – it was slightly slimy ( I refuse to use the m word as it makes me cringe) . Would I rush out to buy it? No however if I was giving it again I wouldn’t grumble.
If you know me in real life you will know that chilli and I do not go together! I don’t do anything with heat in it…well I didn’t til I turned Vegan in April of this year. The Slab crisps were delicious – they totally smashed all my expectations and would happily buy them again (my four year old niece loved them also).
The stand out product of the box for me was the Loving Earth Raw Salted Caramel chocolate bar! I can’t even begin to describe how deliciously creamy it is. Seriously go buy it – it’s available from their Tuck Shop I may or may not have bought a bar (who am I kidding – I totally did!) I think I have found my new favourite vegan chocolate which is no easy task as there are some amazing chocolates out there.
Over all I would give this box a 4/5 which is a pretty good score! I would highly recommend you guys checking out the Vegan Tuck Box especially their Tuck Shop – it has so many yummy vegan products on there that have featured in previous boxes – that you can then re order. Plus every product you buy you earn points which can be used towards future purchases.
What do you think of subscription boxes? Are you signed up to any Vegan boxes you think I should check out?
